Sunday 21st October, 2012: Exactly one week to Stanchart marathon - I have already forgotten the issue of training days, I am now more keen on progress in terms of mileage (kilometers) and time taken.
Leave the house at quarter to six am focused on having a new P.B. My current P.B. stands at 2:09 for 27kms.
My first two kilometers are uncomfortable because of the pain on my upper thigh, the muscle has to warm up before I can gather speed - 2kms, 11mins. I gradually gain speed thereafter - 10kms (47mins), 15kms (1:11), 21kms (1:40), 27kms (2:08) - so i have a new P.B. - that's good motivation to push me through the remaining week before Stan chart Marathon.

This is good. You can dip under 1:40 but make sure you rest your legs for at least two days so that you go to the race with fresh legs.
I will keep that in mind - I will reserve Friday and Saturday for rest. i will even minimise usage of my legs (restricted movement). I will be a potato couch on Saturday.
