Kangundo Road - revisit.

15th May, 2013 – Leave the house at ten minutes to six. It’s a Wednesday so I didn't even dare venturing into Jogoo Road knowing that every walker will be on the road and that will definitely kill my tempo.  Decide to revisit Kangundo after a whole month of working on Upper hill. I love its dirt roads as uneven as they are in some sections.
When u try hard thats when u die hard!
The downward slope is welcoming – hence allowing me to pull my fastest 5k at 22’37” and another fastest 10k at 44’57” – The first 5 to 6 kilometers are a Sunday walk coz its sloping downwards but thereafter its up and down. I got cleaned out in the 18th Kilometer and I had to just stop my Garmin and run walk for the remaining 6 kilometers. Lesson learnt – a speed that thrills, kills!. In my next run on this terrain, I will moderate my tempo to around 4’40” throughout the 25 – 26km stretch.

Good work. Nonetheless. Keep it up. Maybe its the rough running surface. Maybe its the up and down...
